TOOL DESCRIPTION


Aim:
To prevent the spread of HIV and AIDS by making it easier for people living with HIV to access health services, disclose their status and prevent the spread of HIV to others, while also eliminating some of the barriers that impede the ability of uninfected women to protect themselves from the virus.

Toolkit for the trainers of the healthcare providers, to be used in planning and organizing educational sessions with healthcare providers to challenge HIV-related stigma and GBV.

Implementation:
A collection of participatory educational exercises for educating health care providers on the issues of stigma and gender-based violence. Trainers can select from the exercises to plan their own courses for different types of health care providers. The modules use a learner-centered, participatory approach to training—one built around discussion and small-group activities.
