It’s My Turn! HIV Prevention and Care Training Manual and Tools for Peer Educators of “Men who have Sex with Men” (Manual)

FHI 360

The development of The Manual and Tools for Peer Educators of Men who have Sex with Men in HIV
and AIDS Prevention is part of a behaviour change communication (BCC) strategy addressing sexual
health and HIV and other STI interventions of men who have sex with men (MSM) in Ghana. This manual is intended as a resource for organizations working with this most-at-risk population. Initial training of peer educators and supervisors on this resource is required, followed by periodic continuing education. A participatory learning approach is presented; the participants — whether peer educators or supervisors — will have much to share. Depending on your audience, you will pick and choose what is relevant in this resource to make your own training program. It is not necessary for a trainer to start at the beginning and work his way through the entire manual.
